Hey everybody; it’s Shauna from Tax Goddess. I am coming to you live to say, “Happy Treason Day, Happy Fourth of July.” Today is the day when America gained independence from the Brits, and it all started, at least in my opinion, with the Tea Party. John Hancock trying to snuggle in tea so he didn’t have to pay the parliamentary taxes on the tea. Go America. Go independence. I’m all about not paying taxes. Now, you still have to pay your basic, bare minimum legal taxes, don’t get me wrong, but you can also build a strategy to get around the taxes. I’m not so sure dumping tea into the port was the best strategy, but look at where it go us. Yay July Fourth.
