Time to Travel: Doing That Which You Fear

You must retain faith that you will prevail in the end, regardless of the difficulties.

AND at the same time…

You must confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.

Coming from two places this time, a fabulous article on Afford Anything, and the quote from Jim Collins’ book Good to Great.

The Stockdale Paradox as described by the quote above, really reflects that you cannot wait for the time to be right, you cannot wait for everything to be in place.  You MUST move forward and do what it is you want to do.  Understand the risks, strategize on the risks and how to solve them, and then get on with it!

I know that I keep bring up the 4 Hour Work Week a lot lately, but Timothy Ferris talks about this as well.  In order to get where you want to go, you need to analyze it, plan for it, practice how to get there and then GET THERE! Either way, I believe that if you are prepared for anything (you’ve got your Plan B’s as another one of my favorite authors Dan Kennedy puts it) then you can survive and thrive in everything!
